Gibson has launched a Fortnite Festival-, Guitar Hero- and Rock Band-compatible Les Paul guitar controller
Gibson has collaborated with gaming gear brand CRKD on a Les Paul guitar controller, perfect for use with games like Fortnite Festival, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band.
There are two models available for pre-order, the LP Black Tribal Encore Edition and the LP Blueberry Burst Pro Edition, with both offering the famous Les Paul shape. These new controllers have been created by the very team that developed the original iconic hardware for Guitar Hero and DJ Hero that hooked a generation of aspiring players back in the 2000s.

Both the LP Black Tribal Encore Edition and LP Blueberry Burst Pro Edition share a lot of the same features, though there are differences in fret button and strum bar design. The Pro Edition features mechanical fret buttons, while the Encore Edition has standard fret buttons. The Pro also has a Hall Effect Strum Bar with Haptic Feedback, whereas the Encore is fitted with a mechanical strum bar.
Both models also host an eight-button Navigation Hub, integrated into what is typically a toggle switch. Both also utilise rapid polling technology for fast response times, and have upgradeable necks. As for setup, a mode dial lets users adjust controller input presets based on selected games and difficulty levels so you can plug-and-play.

Both models are available as either a multi-platform design or Xbox/PC-specific. The Xbox variation is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10/11, plus Apple or Android mobiles, tablets, and Smart TVs. The multi-platform design can be used with PC, PC Handhelds, Nintendo Switch, Android Devices, and PlayStation 3 (Legacy Mode).
The Pro model is priced at £119.99 (or £129.99 for the Xbox version), while the Encore is £109.99 (£119.99 for Xbox). If you pre-order through CRKD, you’ll also get a complimentary purple or orange ombre guitar strap and a collector’s pin.
The Les Paul guitar controller is available to pre-order now via CRKD, with shipping expected for June 2025.
