“Gem is looking very likely along with Bonehead”: Former Oasis stars Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs and Gem Archer look set to join reunion tour
The prayers of countless music fans were answered earlier this week when the Gallagher brothers announced that they’ve set aside their differences – enough, at least, to make an Oasis tour a reality next summer.
As excitement over the band’s dream-like reunion settles in, reports have emerged revealing that Noel and Liam won’t be the only ones sharing a stage. Former Oasis stars Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs and Gem Archer are set to join the lineup as well.

According to The Sun, Oasis founding member and rhythm guitarist Bonehead – who was part of the band’s original 1991 lineup until his sudden exit in 1999 – is confirmed to be part of the 2025 comeback tour, dubbed ‘OASIS LIVE 25’.
A source told the publication: “Bonehead is confirmed. They both wanted him in the fold and he was one of the drivers of the reunion. Noel has brought in some of his band [High Flying Birds] too.
“The Oasis family has really come back together. Bonehead is ecstatic.”
Shortly after news of Bonehead’s involvement broke, The Mirror reported that Gem Archer, a close friend of both Gallagher brothers, is also on board for the upcoming reunion. While the 57-year-old guitarist isn’t an original member, he became a key part of the band in 1999, playing alongside the Gallaghers for a decade until Noel’s departure in 2009.
“None of the band is 100% confirmed yet, but Gem is looking very likely along with Bonehead,” one source told The Mirror. “The key is getting people who both brothers get on with and also respect and ideally of course they would also have been in the band before too.”
“Gem ticks all those boxes and he also contributed to the writing of some Oasis songs. He is an obvious target and it would be a huge shock if he was not on the stage for the UK tour.”
For now, the band has confirmed the dates for 17 UK and Ireland shows in cities including Cardiff, Edinburgh, London, Dublin and their Manchester hometown — with three new shows announced on Thursday due to “unprecedented demand” from fans.
Tickets for the shows will go on general sale at 9am this Saturday (31 August 2024) and will be available from Ticketmaster, GIGSANDTOURS and See Tickets. Dublin tickets will be available at 8am the same day from www.ticketmaster.ie.
In the meantime, Oasis have shot down rumours of a Glastonbury appearance, stating that they will not be playing “any other festivals next year” and that the only way to see the band perform will be through their Oasis Live ’25 World Tour.
