NAMM 2025: Fender’s return to the NAMM show floor has brought with it an array of exciting new releases, ranging from the groundbreaking Standard Series — the big F’s most affordable guitars in years — to fresh models and amps under its umbrella brands like Jackson, Gretsch, EVH, and Charvel.
Among the standout announcements is the Tone Master FR-212, the latest addition to Fender’s acclaimed Tone Master lineup.

Designed to meet the demands of modern guitarists, the FR-212 builds on the success of its predecessor, the Tone Master FR-12, which was released in 2023.
For those familiar with the no-nonsense FR-12, the FR-212 retains much of the same DNA, though it ups the ante with a pair of 12-inch “special design speakers” instead of just one. Like its predecessor, the FR-212 is a full-range, flat-response (FRFR) powered speaker, built for digital guitar amp modellers and profilers that dominate today’s market.
At the heart of the FR-212 is an integrated 1,000-watt power amp, providing the volume and headroom necessary for even the most demanding live performances. The 3-band active EQ and high frequency cut control, meanwhile, allow players to fine tune their stage tone without altering the line output signal.

The Tone Master FR-212 is said to deliver clear and accurate sound reproduction and perfectly replicates every detail of the amp and effect models. It is described as “the ultimate companion” to the Tone Master Pro – Fender’s ambitious debut in the multi-effects arena which earned an 8/10 rating here at Guitar – and the ideal solution for players who use modellers at home or on stage.
Visually, the FR-212 tips its hat to Fender’s iconic amplifier heritage, blending vintage-inspired aesthetics with modern functionality. The result is a speaker that looks as good as it sounds, making it a perfect addition to any stage or studio setup.
Priced at $699.99/£629/€749, the Tone Master FR-212 will be available this spring.
