Fender unveils dazzling limited-edition Sparkle versions of its Player II models – offering “timeless Fender charm primed for today’s players”

NAMM 2025: With Fender returning to NAMM after several years of absence, it’s going all out on a wide range of gear releases – including a limited Sparkle version of its Player II Stratocaster, Telecaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass.
As for their actual colour though, these sparkling axes are only offered in a three-coloured Sunburst. They will be available for purchase in March this year, with the guitars priced at £799, and the basses at £899.

Fender says these new glimmering models radiate “timeless Fender charm”, but are “primed for today’s players” under the hood. Both the Stratocaster and Telecaster have a modern “C”-profile with a satin urethane finish on the back, plus a “comfy” 9.5”-radius slab rosewood or maple fingerboard, with smooth rolled edges and 22 medium jumbo frets.
Each is fitted with Alnico V Single-Coil pickups, with the Strat offering a five-way blade switch, plus a two-point tremolo and ClassicGear tuners, and the Tele offering a typical three-way switch along with a six-saddle bridge, block steel saddles, and ClassicGear tuners too.

Its Precision and Jazz basses also share similar specs, with both models also hosting a “C”-profile with a satin urethane finish, and a 9.5”-radius slab rosewood or maple fingerboard just likes its six-string friends, with 20 medium jumbo frets. Both also come fitted with Player Series Alnico V Split-Coil pickups, and have an adjustable four-saddle bridge, single-groove steel saddles, and open-gear tuners.

Announcing its return to NAMM back in June, Fender CEO Andy Mooney said that the brand “sadly missed actually having a physical presence at NAMM,” and added that the “high-touch in-person long form interaction is vitally important for the industry.”
