The Wide Range CuNiFe Jazzmaster humbuckers, which are part of a pickup set Fender has dubbed the “first truly innovative voice in single-coil Stratocaster pickups in a generation”, offers a vintage-style voice said to be capable of handling lows, mids and highs with ease while prioritising clarity without losing attack. The pickups also feature a chrome-ringed cover that Fender says will help eliminate 60-cycle hum.
The pickups utilise CuNiFe, an alloy of copper (Cu), nickel (Ni), and iron (Fe), in its threaded magnets using the alloy’s property as a high coercivity magnetic material that can be threaded into wires as thin as five thou, and were originally featured in Fender’s Telecaster Customs until 1979 due to the difficulty of sourcing the alloy.
The picksups are available as a set or individual bridge or neck position pickups.
The Wide Range CuNiFe Jazzmaster humbuckers will retail at $399.99/£369.00/€439.00.
