Fender gives away its Fender Tune app with Player Pack upgrade for free
Fender is giving away the Fender Tune app – along with the Player Pack upgrade – to Android and iOS users for free.
The limited-time deal, worth £4.99, will only require players to sign up for an account.
The Player Pack add-on gives users access to numerous tools including drum beats, a metronome, chords and scales, instructional videos and, of course, the Pro Tuner.
The latter features an adjustable reference pitch and can be used with guitars, basses and ukuleles. Custom and chromatic tuning is also available within the app. The chord and scale database, on the other hand, lets users quickly pull up over 5000+ shapes with multiple variations and positions – handy for beginners.
Find A Beat is a feature that offers quick access to 65 drum grooves spanning a wide array of genres and styles. These sport adjustable tempos, as well as double and half time playback options. Finally, the app also includes a handful of instructional videos geared towards beginners; topics include ‘how to tune your guitar’ and ‘how to improve rhythm playing’.
Fender Tune launched back in 2016 as the guitar giant’s first app offering. It preceded Fender Play, which put a focus on music education, packing detailed courses for learning the guitar, bass or ukulele.
