Fender announces a limited run of rosewood-necked American Professional Stratocasters

Fender has announced a new limited edition run of American Professional Stratocasters, each outfitted with a solid rosewood neck.
The guitar comes fitted with many familiar American-made Stratocaster specs, including three Pure Vintage ’65 Stratocaster single coils, a bone nut, a treble bleed circuit to prevent muddy low-volume tones and standard Strat switching.
And, of course, the solid rosewood neck is a stand-out feature. It sports 22 narrow-tall frets and a deep C-shaped profile. At the headstock end, there’s also a set of Fender staggered tuners, and the rosewood grain on full display – sporting what looks to be the Fender logo embossed into the wood. The back of the neck also features a skunk stripe.
The news follows speculation surrounding a ‘revamp’ headed for the American Professional series, after strange activity was noticed on the series’ product pages.
The rosewood-necked American Professional Stratocasters are available in either Desert Sand or Fiesta Red, and list for $1,699. Find out more at Fender.com.
