Chase Bliss and Analog Man unveil the Brothers AM overdrive pedal, an “expanded counterpart” to the legendary King Of Tone

Chase Bliss and Analog Man unveil the Brothers AM overdrive pedal, an “expanded counterpart” to the legendary King Of Tone

The exciting collaboration between Chase Bliss and Analog Man has officially been unveiled, and it’s a new pedal inspired by the highly coveted King of Tone overdrive.
The new pedal, called Brothers AM, is not a clone. Instead, it takes the legendary circuit of Analog Man’s treasured King Of Tone – which, if you want to purchase, has a waitlist of up to seven years – and gives you “advanced control” while throwing in some “exciting bonuses”. It also builds upon Chase Bliss’ Brothers pedal launched in 2017, which marked its first overdrive to land on the market.

Brothers AM arrives after several teasers from Chase Bliss shared on social media over the last week, in which the brand’s founder Joel Korte shared an email he sent five years ago first asking Analog Man’s Mike Piera if he’d like to team up on a new project. Footage of Korte and Piera taking a trip to Japan later emerged, plus a blind pedal test.

Chase Bliss says that Brothers AM is its “most intuitive pedal” so far. At its core are two identical, multi-mode gain channels ready to stack, combine, and switch. Users can choose between boost, overdrive, or distortion, and then set their desired gain and tone levels.
You can change modes easily on the fly, and experiment with a bonus treble booster circuit, inspired by Analog Man’s Beano Boost. You can keep hold of your settings by saving presets, and it even ships with some of Chase Bliss’ favourites, including a recreation of Analog Man’s own preferred settings.
Brothers AM also offers MIDI control over every parameter, and CV or Expression control over every knob. Check out the video below to see watch the journey to its fruition, and watch its early testing phases:

“Analog Man’s level of hand-made care has been unmatched and unchanged since the 90s. There’s no replicating it – each King of Tone is made entirely by hand with near-unobtainable parts,” says Chase Bliss. “So instead of trying to clone it, Brothers AM goes further. We worked closely with Analog Man to create an expanded counterpart that lets you enjoy the coveted circuit in a new way.”
The Brothers AM overdrive ships within four weeks, and is priced at $399. You can purchase it now or find out more via Chase Bliss.
