Charvel launches the Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 HH 24
Charvel has launched the Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 HH 24, a hot-rodded T-style with a number of premium appointments.
The model’s ash body comes loaded with two humbuckers. These are a set of Fishman Fluence Open Core PRF-COCs – which use Fishman Fluence tech to change between modern high-output humbucker tones and more refined PAF tones. The second voicing is accessed by a miniature toggle switch in between the master volume and master tone controls. There’s also a 3-way blade selector switch, recessed slightly into the 1-ply parchment pickguard.
The bolt-on neck is graphite-reinforced maple, which fits into a ‘shredder’s cut heel’ join for easy access to all 24 frets. It’s topped with a 12”-16” compound-radios caramelised maple fretboard. For quick checks as to where your hand is in the dark, there’s also Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side-dots. And for quick neck-relief adjustments, there’s also a heel-mount truss rod thumbwheel.
The guitar comes in four finishes, two for each hardware configuration. If you want it to be loaded with Goto Custom 510 two-point tremolo, it comes either in natural ash or an-open-pored black satin. If you want a string-through hard-tail, it comes in either satin black or snow white.
The Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 2 lists for $899.99. For more information head over to charvel.com.
