Balaguer Guitars launch two new headless models, the Vega and the Anomaly
Balaguer Guitars has launched two new electric guitars, the Vega and the Anomaly.
Both guitars are offered via the company’s “Build Your Own” line, and offer up their own striking silhouette. The Vega is marginally more traditional, with a deep bout in the front of the body to allow for the headless bridge, and two bevelled horns flanking the neck.
The Anomaly, meanwhile, has a more angular look, with the entire body curved inwards to make way for the bridge. It’s also a single-cutaway, with a bevel on the lower horn for easy upper-fret access.
Normally, this is where a rundown of the specs would go, detailing the tone woods, number of strings, neck profile and construction – however, as the guitars are completely customisable, all of those specifications are up to you. There’s a whole host of design choices to be made, from the number of strings, the body wood to the colour and the scale length.
There are only two non-customisable options for the headless models: the hardware colour, as the bridge is black (with a choice between a Balaguer Hardtail, a Hipshot Hardtail and a Hipshot Tremolo), and the headstock wood, for, er, obvious reasons. But other than that, the world of custom headless guitars is your oyster.
