Both teaser videos were shared via Instagram by Gone Fishing Effects, the newly launched pedal brand of Biffy Clyro guitar tech, Richard Pratt.
On 3 September, Neil confirmed that he was indeed working on a new drive pedal with Pratt, further sharing that its development has been kept “low-key” and “entirely in-house”.
“I’m actually putting out a pedal,” Neil told Total Guitar. “It’s gonna be quite straight up with two different distortions – I want it to be straightforward because the Biffy sound and essence is clean, heavy and heavier.”
He added: “We’re hoping to get it out later in the year.”
