AC/DC post short, cryptic teaser on social media

AC/DC appear to have officially confirmed their long-rumoured comeback after sharing a cryptic video on social media.
The short clip shows a neon version of the band’s iconic lightning symbol flickering into life, alongside guitar amps in the background doing the same.

The tease comes a week after a series of photos, which were briefly posted on the band’s website, confirmed the return of singer Brian Johnson and drummer Phil Rudd.
Johnson left the band in 2016 on doctor’s orders after experiencing extensive hearing loss, while Rudd was replaced on their ‘Rock or Bust’ tour after he was found guilty of drug possession and threats to kill in 2015.
The photos were uploaded to Brazilian AC/DC fansite AC/DC Brasil, and also show Stevie Young, nephew of late guitarist Malcolm Young, playing with the group. He has previously filled in for Malcolm, when he retired from music due to dementia. The fansite claims the footage was taken from a video shoot that took place earlier this year.
Hence, this recent tease could be related to the release of a live show, filmed at this shoot.  It could also be related speculation of a new studio album from AC/DC, with Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider claiming that the record has been finished, but delayed due to the pandemic.
