EVH’s new Wolfgang WG Standard T.O.M delivers speed, sustain and style — all for under $600
EVH has unveiled the new Wolfgang WG Standard T.O.M — a no-nonsense, shred-ready electric guitar that swaps out the original Wolfgang Standard’s Floyd Rose tremolo for a Tune-O-Matic-style bridge and stop-bar tailpiece.
Designed for comfort, speed and sustain, this new model delivers the massive sound and performance-minded design Eddie Van Halen was known for, at a seriously wallet-friendly price point of just $599/£519.

Featuring a natural bound basswood body with special “comfort cut” forearm contour for maximum playing ease, the guitar sports a bolt-on baked maple neck with graphite-reinforcement rods that should offer extra resistance to temperature and humidity fluctuations, a 12”-16” compound radius baked maple fingerboard with rolled edges, 22 jumbo frets and black dot inlays.
A conveniently located spoke wheel at the base of the neck makes for quick and painless truss rod adjustments, while a smooth oiled finish on the back of the neck adds to the guitar’s playability.

Soundwise, the new T.O.M model comes with dual EVH Wolfgang humbucking pickups mounted directly to its body, which is said to increase sustain due to greater vibration transfer. The guitar’s black speed tone and volume control knobs (with treble bleed) have also been dialed-in to Van Halen’s exacting specifications.
Additional appointments include oversized buttons for your guitar strap, a trademark 3×3 headstock, and matching black EVH-branded tuners.
Players looking to get their hands on the Wolfgang WG Standard T.O.M can choose between three finishes: Gloss Black, Cream White and a stunning Sea Foam Pearl Metallic.
