Orianthi has pulled out of Alice Cooper‘s upcoming tour due to injury.
The Australian guitarist previously played with Cooper’s band between 2011 and 2014 but was set to make a return for his forthcoming run of dates. Nita Strauss had been playing with Cooper since, aside from a stint playing for Demi Lovato, but she was unavailable for this tour due to pre-existing solo tour commitments.

However, circumstances changed when Orianthi tore a hamstring and injured her hip.
“Unfortunately, I have a torn hamstring and damage to my hip after [the] last tour. Not sure exactly when it happened but the pain I feel/felt is bad… [I’m] getting it fixed up now… I’ll be seated tonight playing a couple of tunes for [the] 40th anniversary of PRS Guitars then resting up,” she confirmed on social media.
The following day, Orianthi posted a picture of herself in a physical therapy session. “Hopefully [I’ll] be mended up soon!” she wrote. “[It] will be a process.”

Orianthi will be replaced on the tour by former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke.
The guitarist previously said that working with Cooper the first time around was “a blast” and “an honour”.
“Alice is a legend. I know the shows are going to be really fun. It’s going to be just a whole different dynamic and sort of a change from Nita,” she told Guitar World.
“I bring something really different to the band than Nita does. She brings rock and metal – which is awesome. She’s an incredible player, like, the way she plays is different from me. I play more classic blues rock, so it’s a different dynamic. I’m pretty much going to do it my way. I’m just going to play the songs the way I played them before, and then, obviously, Alice adds the new stuff he wants me to add. Because I’m an artist, I don’t copy anything.”
Oranthi released a new single, Some Kind Of Feeling, back in November. The track hails from her forthcoming album of the same name, which is due for release in 2025.
