“The same Marshall sound in a more portable and accessible form”: Marshall’s new Overdrive Pedals Collection recreates its most iconic amps
NAMM 2025: Among two other new product drops for NAMM, Marshall has launched the Overdrive Pedals Collection, condensing some of its most iconic amp tones into compact stompboxes.
The collection consists of the 1959, DSL, JCM800, JCM900, and JVM, with Marshall claiming each one “faithfully captures the essence of its respective amplifier, offering the same iconic Marshall sound in a more portable and accessible form”.

Ideal for those with a clean, pedal platform amp, the line offers players the ability to experiment with a range of overdriven tones, without the investment and commitment of a full amplifier. Each unit has been crafted with analogue circuitry, true bypass, and “high-quality construction”, with streamlined, simple dial controls that resemble their larger siblings.
As for sound, the 1959 pedal offers warm, rock tones from the late 1960s and ‘70s, while the DSL offers classic British overdrive tones. The JCM800 is a great match for those seeking heavy distortion for rock and metal, while the JCM900 Pedal is a little more suited to versatile modern rock sounds, with high-gain. The most versatile of all five is the JVM, with multiple tonal options in one unit.

Marshall’s return to the NAMM show this year marks the end of a five year absence from the annual event. Commenting on the new pedal series, Jon Magill, Director R&D Amplifiers, says, “These pedals bring the sounds of some of the great Marshall amps of history onto the pedalboard, recreating the sonic character of the amps and enhancing functionality on some to meet the needs of players.”
The Overdrive Pedals Collection is now available at select retailers and the Marshall website, with each priced at £119.99. You can also catch Marshall on the floor at NAMM.
