“It’s like running a pub for animals”: Brian May’s wife reveals the Queen guitarist’s new life after his stroke

Queen guitarist Brian May has apparently taken up a new hobby as he continues to recover from the “scary” stroke he suffered last year.
In a recent update, the musician’s wife of 24 years, actress Anita Dobson, shared that May is now in a “stable” condition.
She also opened up about how the family spent Christmas together, telling The Sun: “The start of the year has been up and down. We both had the flu but we took the kids to Lapland. 15 of them.”

“Brian is stable now. Brian has never been happier since we moved,” she says. “For me it’s been a curveball as I’m a London girl born and bred so going to the countryside to a house that needs a lot of work was a bit of a shock.”
“To see what it has done to Brian…he loves it. He loves the birds and the animals. He feeds all the birds and the badgers, foxes and pheasants.”
“It’s like running a pub for animals,” Dobson adds, noting how she and May are just “just chilling at the moment and spending time at home”.
She also says that they’re “taking each day as it comes” after the health scare: “It makes you realise that at any minute it could be you. You don’t have to necessarily be old, It could be anyone. You think you are fit, you see these people who run marathons and then at a young age they are gone.”
“You have to live every day as if it was your last. It’s not easy to do that. You forget and think I’ve got another week and it’s all booked up, you have to be aware that life is precious and with life changing so fast we are all on a bit of a thin thread if you like.”
Last August, May was rushed to hospital after suffering a “minor stroke” that caused him to temporarily lose control of his arm.
“All of a sudden out of the blue I didn’t have any control of this arm. So it’s a little scary,” the guitarist said in a video posted on his YouTube channel. “The good news is I’m okay. I’m just doing what I’m told, which is basically nothing.”
