The three-mode delay pedal offers up digital, analogue and tape modes, with some really high-fidelity sounds on offer – it’s not left my board since I reviewed it thanks to just how great these sounds are. While it doesn’t give you deep editing over various things like tape age and so on, it makes up for that in general versatility. Thanks to the one-second max time on all modes, you can create some deceptively expansive soundscapes with the Silos, with your choice of fidelity. The digital mode is particularly good at creating little micro-loops, while the analogue and tape modes are better at sitting as a wash underneath your main signal.
At full price the Silos is $50 per delay, which for the quality you get is definitely worth it already – chuck that price down to $126.65, and that’s even more appealing!
