Synyster Gates teases headless Schecter model in unhinged guillotine video
It looks like the Synyster Gates headless Schecter guitar that has been rumoured for a while is finally coming our way! The release was teased in a video posted on the official Instagram accounts of both the Avenged Sevenfold guitarist and Schecter Guitars, complete with the cheeky caption: “Heads will roll.”

While the teaser clip features a rather theatrical beheading of a Schecter guitar neck, little else has been revealed about the highly anticipated model. All we know for sure is that it will officially launch on 25 November, so keep your eyes peeled for updates from Schecter and Gates in the meantime.
Fans in the comment section were understandably excited, given that Gates had been spotted playing what appeared to be a headless Schecter model during several of A7X’s shows in as early as 2023. And there’s been no word of any sort from officials on a Headless release since then — until yesterday.
The mysterious guitar — which Gates whipped out for performances of Life Is But a Dream…’s lead single, Nobody — was decked out in a swanky gold finish, and has had fans clamouring for an official release since its appearance.

Earlier this year, Schecter launched a new signature model for Avenged Sevenfold’s Zacky Vengeance – the ZV-H6LLYW66D – which is available in variants for both right-handed players and Zacky’s fellow lefties.
Sporting an SG-style body, Zacky V’s guitar looks to be an improved take on Schecter’s Demon S-II model. The instrument features a mahogany body and is finished in Gloss White, and has a mahogany three-piece neck with carbon fibre reinforcement rods, and an ebony fretboard hosting 22 X-Jumbo stainless steel frets.
