SonicMind Unveils Revolutionary Control for Guitar Gear!

SonicMind Unveils Revolutionary Control for Guitar Gear!

At Guitar Summit 2024, in Mannheim, Germany, SonicMind introduced its groundbreaking technology—wireless remote control for any analog gear without ever touching the analog audio signal! Manufacturers can now embed this technology into their effect pedals, amplifiers, or switchers. These devices can be programmed with virtually unlimited presets via an intuitive app and controlled in real-time using a smart footswitch. And through it all, the audio signal path remains fully analog.

As expected, this innovation made waves at the event, with our booth constantly packed with guitarists and gear manufacturers eager to witness it in action!

SonicMind demonstrated its platform live, showcasing a smart switcher, footswitch controller, and various pedals from manufacturers already embracing the technology. The ease of use, intuitive operation, and lightning-fast preset adoption were immediately clear.

What does this mean for musicians?

Total access to every tone.

When musicians purchase a pedal with SonicMind Inside, they unlock every tone the pedal is capable of, with no need for tap-dancing or knob-tweaking. They get full access to the tones they paid for and the ones the manufacturer worked so hard to create.

Simple preset management.

Once they’ve found a tone they love—whether from one pedal or a combination of several and the amp—they can name and save it in the app. It’s always ready to recall when needed. It’s that simple!

Effortless live performance.

During live performances, musicians can switch to Setlist Mode, seamlessly scrolling through pre-programmed setlists where every part of each song is already pre-programmed. With just one footswitch, they can move forward – or back – through the set, and programme other footswitches to any feature that might be used. It’s never been easier. In non-setlist scenarios, like jamming or playing jazz, Preset Mode comes in handy. Guitarists can easily assign any tone preset to any footswitch and use as many banks as needed. With just one press on the footswitch, all settings on pedals and amps are instantly adjusted in real-time.

And most importantly, the analog tone path is never digitized. The tone stays just how it’s supposed to be.

Presets are created on the pedalboard as usual, or in the SonicMind app without having to bend down and turn any knobs. Once saved in the app, presets are sent via Bluetooth to a SonicMind-capable controller. Tapping the footswitch sends the settings to the effect, amp, or switcher through lightning-fast interference-free RF.

The SonicMind app, available on both Google Play and the App Store, also provides real-time feedback, showing you exactly where you are during your performance!”

The app and the Bluetooth communications are only ever used as a programming aid and as a “monitor” while playing – never for any control. That’s what the controller does!

SonicMind doesn’t manufacture its own gear. Instead, manufacturers embed SonicMind technology into their products. They can also create SonicMind-capable footswitch controllers. Switcher manufacturers can even integrate the technology into their products, enabling musicians to control not just the tone of their gear, but the signal path of their entire rig!

SonicMind is already collaborating with several manufacturers worldwide to bring remotely controlled analog pedals, amps, and switchers to life—with more joining the movement every day. Expect more news and gear with “SonicMind Inside” in the coming months.

“Guitar Summit 2024 was incredible—it gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase what SonicMind technology can truly do. What made it even more special was seeing the reactions from guitarists when they realized what this platform offers: a solution to so many of their challenges, and the ability to craft the perfect tone for each part of every song—something that wasn’t possible until now,” said SonicMind founder and CEO, Urban Centa. “We’re excited to keep working with industry partners to make the dream of digital control for pure analog gear a reality.”
