Taylor Swift gifted custom Gibson J-45 for becoming first solo artist to perform at Wembley Stadium for 8 nights

Taylor Swift has been gifted a custom Gibson J-45 acoustic guitar by London’s Wembley Stadium, in honour of the pop star becoming the first solo artist to perform at the venue for eight nights on a single tour.
The eight shows took place at the stadium for the European leg of Swift’s Eras tour. The record was previously held by Michael Jackson’s 1988 Bad Tour.

The guitar has been photographed outside the venue, and shared to Instagram by Wembley Stadium’s official page. It has a black and turquoise colour scheme, matching that of the stadium’s due to its sponsor, EE. Text on its body reads, “So long, Taylor” and “It’s been a Wembley Love Story”, in reference to her tracks So Long, London and Love Story.
The eight dates Swift performed there are also printed around the guitar’s sound hole, and two matching plectrums also accompany the model. A handwritten note states, “Hi Taylor, thank you for eight unforgettable nights under the arch. You are now, officially, the biggest-selling female artist to ever perform at Wembley Stadium, and we think that is something to celebrate.
“We hope your very own Wembley Stadium guitar acts as a reminder of your record-breaking shows here in London. We would love you to come back soon. So long, Taylor. It’s been enchanting.”

Swift plays a number of Gibson models during her Eras tour sets, including two different versions of Gibson’s J-45 model – one in deep red and one in a black sparkle finish. As with pretty much all of her guitars, these J-45s are custom builds, with non-standard finishes, and no pickguards.
The Eras tour is now on pause until November, when Swift will play across Vancouver and Toronto before the colossal global stint officially wraps on 8 December.
