Axis Sport HH: Wiring w/ New Superswitch, No Position 4

Wiring up my 1999 Axis Sport with a new genuine EBMM Superswitch, original pickups, correct diagram. All went well and seemed pretty straightforward, even using my 1997 AS with the same new style switch for reference. Positions 1, 2, 3 & 5 are perfect. Guitar is perfectly silent and no grounding issues. But then position 4, nothing. not a lick of output. Wens back checked the diagram, checked for shorts, all look OK. retest and still no position 4, inner coils output at all. Can anyone point…
