About the Jason Richardson EBMM signature and EBMM build slots

I wanted to order the Jason Richardson music man signature in Majora Purple and this is what the guitar store said. Does anyone know about how the production of these models work? And is EBMM really out of “build slots” and does it really take that long for slots to open up?
