Lee Anderton is raffling his 1979 Fender Strat for Turkey and Syria earthquake appeal
Andertons owner Lee Anderton has put his all-black 1979 American Fender Stratocaster up for auction in an effort to raise funds for those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.

24 million people are said to have been affected by the recent disaster, with the death toll estimated to be over 47,000. Tickets are just £5 each, and you can buy as many as you like – meaning more funds can be raised to support those in need, and you’ll have more chances of winning.
All proceeds will support things such as search and rescue missions, medical treatment, food, water and shelter.
The guitar was purchased by Anderton at a NAMM show “three or four years ago”, and he describes the model as a “cool guitar”, but one that doesn’t get played much and therefore may be better off in the hands of someone new.

The raffle ends in just seven days and all shipping costs, tax and duty on the guitar will be covered by Andertons, so the winner will receive it for free, minus their donation via their ticket purchase.
