Music Man Sting Ray4, 1992 value?

Hi!
I recently got my 1992 Sting Ray 4, back after almost 20 years away.
This bass is white, so the white is now yellow/brown/tobacco colored. On top of that the finnish is coming off after years of use.
Will this bass have any value-issues if i get it re-finnished in black color?
