Will a Hipshot BT1 Bass Xtender fit my MusicMan Stingray?

I was thinking of adding an Xtender to my stingray for fast drop D tuning and the Hipshot website just says: “The BT1 is a direct replacement for the Schaller® BM tuner traditionally featured on MusicMan® ” Has anyone on here tried one of these on their Stingray? If so did you need to add any additional holes to make it fit? Have you been happy with this accessory?
