JP15 Bridge Chrome Chipped Off

Hi all, hoping to get some advice. I just got my jp15 Cerulean Paradise today… the bridge cover was a bit loose (first picture). So I loosened the strings and removed the bridge to tighten it. While I was removing the bridge, the chrome chipped off (second picture). This is so annoying as I just received this guitar. Has anyone ever faced this issue? Would this affect playability in any way? Is there anything I could do?
