The care and feeding of solid rosewood necks?
If there is common knowledge out there somewhere on how to care for a solid rosewood neck I cannot find it.
I have oil for rosewood boards, but what about the entire neck? Does EBMM treat these necks with oil and wax, or anything for that matter? Is there anything special or unique that should be done to protect and keep the neck in new like condition? All I can find online are statements that solid rosewood necks are a bit less stable than maple, prone to fret sprouting if not taken care of, etc.. But there seems to be no source for what to actually do to maintain them.. I do have a humidifier in my guitar room and maintain 45 percent humidity in there. Other than this, are there known or recommended treatments for solid rosewood necks?
