Replacement Roasted Neck?

Here’s my questions:
Can one buy a replacement neck (roasted maple) to replace a non-roasted maple neck on a Sterling USA?
Does one have to relinquish the existing neck in order for the shop to allow the sale?
And yes, I’m on up-to-date on my meds, thanks for asking.
Just really interested in upgrading the neck on my Sterling.
