Relish announces the Trinity, a pickup-swapping solid body
Swiss guitar maker Relish has expanded its lineup with the Trinity, a single-cut dual-humbucker guitar that offers its pickup-selecting technology in a more traditional form, and lower price-point, than its Mary One.
The model has been developed in partnership with PT Cort in Surabaya, Indonesia and aims to make Relish’s signature pickup swapping system more affordable and accessible to guitarists around the world. Silvan Kueng, CEO of Relish Guitars, said of the collaboration: “In PT Cort, we have found a perfect partner. With their proven track record of delivering high quality for some of the largest premium guitar brands, a strong R&D team and passion to support our mission, they have managed to meet our expectations in a very short time.” The team designed and prototyped the model over 12 months in Relish’s workshop in Switzerland.
The basswood body comes in one of three metallic finishes: red, blue or black. There are two open slots in its back for access to the pickup slots and a string-through intonated bridge. A modern C-shaped Canadian maple neck featuring a smooth satin finish and 24 medium-jumbo stainless steel frets completes a 25.5” scale length.
In terms of electronics, aside from the main pickup-swapping parts, you have on hand a master volume and tone control, as well as a 3-way selector switch. The guitar comes with two Relish Buckers, but single coil and P90 models can be fitted – or, if you have a preferred set, you can send them to Relish to be fitted in the swappable mount.
