Furch adds two premium acoustic guitars to Yellow range
Furch has expanded its Yellow series with two high-end acoustics: the Plus SP and CP.
Unique to these models is a bright-red tonewood known as padauk, which is used on each guitar’s back and sides. According to Furch, this tonewood brings three benefits: an exotic aesthetic, ringing trebles, and a balanced sound that’s more suited to fingerstyle players.
Besides padauk, each guitar features a choice of either high-grade Alpine spruce or western red cedar tops. Both options are touted to have excellent acoustic properties thanks to Furch’s soundboard voicing technique. The guitars also sport an African mahogany neck as well as three ebony crafted components: bridge, fingerboard and headstock overlay.
Elsewhere, the acoustics sport a set of discreet appointments. These include a double concentric ringed rosette – with green abalone inlays – koa binding styled with a white contrasting line, white mother-of-pearl Eclipse fingerboard inlays, and Schaller M6 Silver machine heads.
