Help: I think I broke the volume AND tone pots on my new Cutlass bass.

Found and joined the forums because I just bought a Cutlass bass and I already messed something up.

I’ll try to include some pictures, but the immediate issue I face is that my bass signal won’t reach the amp unless I pull hard on the volume pot. As soon as I let go, no sound reaches my amp. I was trying to remove the knobs with a flathead screwdriver underneath them like a pry bar. I didn’t realize their were small bolts to remove with an allen key. I think in prying up on the pots I damaged them.

So, with the volume pot, without touching anything I get no sound.

But when I pull upwards, sound.

And this is only true of the volume pot. HOWEVER, both pots don’t have complete travel anymore unless being pulled up on. They only turn about 25% of their travel when resting.

So did I just break them? And if so, how could I get some new ones? Thank you anyone who takes the time to read this.
