PRS Europe announces limited run of roasted maple SE Custom 24s
PRS has announced the SE Custom 24 Roasted Maple LTD, offering roasted maple necks and fingerboards on the popular model for the first time.
Limited to Europe, these guitars feature maple that has been torified (or roasted) in special chambers to remove water and volatiles. The result, as the brand claims, is enhanced stability and feel as well as a classy roasted appearance.
Another feature exclusive to this limited run is a big scoop quilted maple veneer top, which replaces the standard model’s bevelled maple and flame maple veneer top.
Besides the special features detailed above, all other specs on this limited-edition offering are the same as the production-line models.
The limited-edition SE Custom 24 is available in three configurations: SE Custom 24, SE Custom 24 Lefty and SE Custom 24 Floyd. They’ll retail at the same price as the original models.
