Rhonda Smith endorses Aguilar amps
Bassist extraordinaire Rhonda Smith has joined the Aguilar Amps artist roster, the company reports.
Rhonda has been using the DB 751 amplifier with the DB 810 cabinet on this past year’s tour dates with guitar icon Jeff Beck. In addition to her years working with Beck, she spent over a decade on stage and in the studio with Prince where her command of Jazz, Funk and in particular, fretless bass was incorporated into the mix. Smith’s impressive resume also includes work with Beyonce, Patti Austin, Lee Ritenour and many others as well as her two acclaimed solo albums, Intellipop and RS2.
Of her Aguilar gear, Smith says: ‘I never leave home without my Aguilar! It always gives me the power, presence and THAT tone’.
