Desktop konnekt 6 cuts off audio
Hello there, so I have a very strange issue with my sound interface. To describe it shortly…I had some grounding loops in the past and what I did as a solution was to cut the ground wire in the XLR balanced cables…(NOT in the power cables..) And that fixed my issues and there was no noise…Although, since then I have been having issues with the audio interface. Whenever someone opens a light switch or a device is connected to the circuit on the house the desktop konnekt 6 cuts off the sounds…it doesn’t close but the windows don’t have sound.I need to restart it and when I do everything goes back to normal. Is this a driver problem maybe? Do I need to put the ground wire back on ? Thank you in advance…
P.S cutting the grounding on the XLR cables is not dangerous as I had searched it quite a bit when I did it.
