Version 10 of Waves plug-ins is now available for download. The update offers bug fixes, new plug-ins and improvements including reportedly better real-time CPU performance from Waves Tune.
With this update, several Waves plug-ins are being added free of charge to Waves bundles covered under the Waves Update Plan: Electric Grand 80 Piano is being added to the Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Horizon, Broadcast & Production, Broadcast and Surround Suite, Sound Design Suite and Mercury bundles; and Eddie Kramer Drum Channel is being added to the Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Horizon, Broadcast & Production, Broadcast and Surround Suite, and Sound Design Suite bundles.
Waves Audio says it is committed to ensuring its plug-ins remain compatible with all major DAWs and operating systems, and that plug-ins purchased today will continue to be compatible in the future. According to the company, users who update to v10 will future-proof their sessions by ensuring that their projects remain compatible with all major systems going forward.
The v10 update is for plug-ins only. Waves applications (StudioRack, SoundGrid Studio, MultiRack, eMotion LV1) remain at their current versions.
Users wishing to update earlier plug-ins to Waves v10 must be covered by the Waves Update Plan. In addition to receiving all plug-in updates during the coverage period, users enrolled in the Waves Update Plan will also receive comprehensive technical support, new plug-ins added to select Waves plug-in bundles, and a Waves voucher good toward any Waves software purchase.
